Fox has just announced that its long running drama Bones will be on the schedule for the 2012-2013 season.
The renewal of Bones is right on the heels of the drama’s returns to Fox this Monday night after a three-month hiatus. A couple of weeks ago at PaleyFest ’12, executive producer Hart Hanson commented that he was confident that Bones would be renewed by Fox. He also stated that there were rumors of the show getting a renewal for its eighth and ninth seasons. This pick is only for season 8. There is no word on why Fox didn’t pick up the show for a ninth season as of now.
Next season, Bones will celebrate a big milestone, 150 episodes!
With House ending in May, next season Bones will take the title as Fox’s longest running drama series currently on the air.
Bones returns to Fox with seven all-new episodes in a new time period, Monday April 2nd at 8p.m.
