ABC has announced its 2019-2020 schedule, adding two drama series (Emergence, Stumptown) and one comedy series (mixed-ish) to its fall lineup.
The network is playing it safe Monday and Thursday, keeping those nights intact. Small changes come to Tuesday’s with Bless This Mess getting a big promotion to 8:30p.m. after The Conners. In a surprising move, black-ish spinoff mixed-ish is slotted at 9p.m., not 9:30p.m. as expected – probably to capitalize on the ratings boost from Conners infused Bless This Mess. Allison Tolman’s Emergence will settle in at 10p.m.
Wednesday’s comedy lineup remains unchanged, with Cobie Smulders’ new drama Stumptown 10p.m. American Housewife joins Fresh Off The Boat and 20/20 on Friday’s, and The Rookie has been moved to Sunday’s at 10p.m. following Shark Tank. Newcomer Kids Say The Darnedest Things hosted by Tiffany Haddish will slot between America’s Funniest Home Videos and Shark Tank at 8p.m.
