CBS Announces 2019-2020 Schedule

CBS trotted their 2019-2020 primetime schedule out today emphasizing stability, while also hoping to breathe new life into their lineup by adding five new series to their fall schedule, a large number by CBS’ standards.

Most of the changing will come on Monday and Thursday nights. On Monday’s, The Neighborhood will take over the 8p.m. slot leading into Chuck Lorre’s latest offering Bob Hearts Abishola. New legal drama All Rise will be settled at 9p.m., while Bull moves to Monday’s at 10p.m. As expected on Thursday, Young Sheldon will inherit the 8p.m. slot from The Big Bang Theory. New comedy The Unicorn hopes to maintain Sheldon’s audience at 8:30. Mom at 9p.m., and Patricia Heaton returns makes her CBS return at 9:30p.m. in Carol’s Second Act. Evil, from The Good Wife/The Good Fight creators Robert and Michelle King will be at 10p.m.

CBS is keeping its Tuesday block of NCIS, FBI and NCIS: New Orleans intact, while Wednesday sees a small tweak of SWAT shifting to 10p.m. after Survivor and SEAL Team.

Friday’s are extremely stable for CBS so little charges are happening there. Magnum P.I. will be sandwiched between Hawaii Five-O and Blue Bloods. Sunday’s will also remain the same with the lineup of 60 Minutes, God Friended Me, NCIS: Los Angeles, and the recently announced sixth and final season of Madam Secretary.
